Williamstown Fire District Sets Aug. 26 Tax Classification Hearing
The Williamstown Fire District's Prudential Committee will hold a tax classification hearing on Aug. 26, one of several town and district meetings set for the coming week alongside continued preparation for the Sept. 1 State Primary.

The Williamstown Fire District has scheduled a tax classification hearing for 4 p.m. Aug. 26 at 580 Main St. and via Zoom, immediately followed by a 4:30 p.m. meeting of the Fire District's Prudential Committee. The Select Board meets Aug. 24 and the Affordable Housing Trust meets Aug. 25, both as hybrid sessions at 31 North St. and on Zoom.
The town also posted a consolidated Early Voting & Voter Registration Schedule on Aug. 20 laying out hours and deadlines ahead of the Sept. 1 Primary and Nov. 3 General Election, building on voting-schedule details the town has been publicizing in recent days.

The Williamstown Public Library's Board of Trustees and the Friends of the Library will hold a strategic planning focus group meeting Aug. 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. at 1095 Main St., part of the library's ongoing planning process.

The Historical Commission meets Aug. 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Community Meeting Room at 31 North Street. The Conservation Commission meets Aug. 27 from 7 to 9 p.m., streamed live on willinet.org and Spectrum Channel 1303. In-person early voting for the State Primary continues daily through Aug. 28 at the Town Clerk's Office, 31 North St., ahead of the Sept. 1 Primary at Williamstown Elementary School.
