Williamstown Board of Health Permits Halloween Trick-or-Treating With COVID Rules
WILLIAMSTOWN — October 21, 2020 — Williamstown Board of Health allows Halloween trick-or-treating with COVID safety restrictions. The board announced that trick-or-treating will be permitted October 31 between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m., with residents directed to individually wrap candy and place it on a table rather than offer a communal bowl. Cloth face coverings are required for trick-or-treaters; costume masks do not count as substitutes. Social distancing is mandatory throughout the evening. The board also stated it supports residents who choose not to open their doors due to COVID-19 concerns, with full guidelines posted on the town website.
