Few Williamstown Deeds Disclose Sale Price in Latest Recording Period
Seventeen property deeds were recorded in Williamstown from July 31 to Aug. 29, but only three disclosed a sale price, ranging from $80,000 to $360,000 with a median of $100,000. The period's highest-recorded transaction was a $360,000 sale of a Williamstown property from David J. and Martha E. Elpern, as trustees, to Chayah Properties LLC on Aug. 6. Two of the three disclosed sales named a bank or credit union, rather than an individual, as the buyer. The remaining 14 records were mortgage filings, trust transfers and family transfers with no price disclosed, limiting what can be concluded about broader market conditions this period.
